On behalf of the American Sociological Association's section on
Ethnomethodology and Conversation Analysis, I am writing to encourage you
to submit papers for the next ASA conference, to be held in Denver, Colorado,
Aug. 17-20, 2012. Our section is guaranteed one session, but assuming we
get sufficient paper submissions, I will request additional session(s).
The online paper submission system opens December 8th. Deadline is January 11th, 3 p.m. (Eastern time). Please see the ASA website for further details on the 2012 conference, and for on-line submission after December 8. This page may be the most relevant: <http://asanet.org/AM2012/index.cfm>
As session organizer, I am very sensitive to the fact that paper presentations are often limited to fifteen minutes, and in this light I will review submissions based on the grounds provided for expecting that fifteen minutes can be well spent... please note that proposed papers do not need to be of article length or ready for publication. We are a very large community and we all could fill fifteen minutes well without undue strain, so I am hoping that the number of proposals will merit extra sessions for our section in Denver. Please consider submitting a paper in coming weeks.
Thanks Much
Tim
